- constant f2.8aperture
- aspherical and ud elements
- quality l-series optics
- rugged weather-sealed construction
- ring-type usm
designed for use on full-frame eos cameras, the canon 16-35mm f2.8l lens is excellent for landscapes and similarly wide reaching shots, while its handy zoom range provides you the ability to frame images as you please, and use the lens for more general shooting applications. throughout this versatile range, the lens features a constant f2.8aperture, letting in enough light to keep you shooting at faster shutter speeds, thus reducing the appearance of camera shake. with both aspherical elements and ud glass used in the optical construction, this lens delivers a high-level of image sharpness, as well as a reduced level of distortions.
thanks to its ring-type usm af, the canon 16-35mm f2.8l focuses quickly and quietly, leaving you open to aim and zoom it at a wide variety of subjects without any implications. with full-time manual focus override, you can take the focus ring and make any adjustments that you deem necessary, which is great for the more picky of shooters, and for shooting in tricky lighting scenarios that are proving troublesome for the lens af. in keeping with other canon l-series releases, the 16-35mm f2.8l is a rugged workhorse, quite happy to be dredged around in more harsher shooting conditions, without failing or succumbing to damage.
