the canon 70-200mm f2.8l covers the short to long telephoto zoom range, which makes it a usable option for sports and action shooting, as well as weddings and events. throughout this flexible zoom range, a fast f2.8maximum aperture opens up the possibilities of enhanced handheld shooting, both in high-speed and low-light scenarios. this bright maximum aperture also allows you to experiment with depth of field in your images, deciding exactly how much and how little is in focus. the ring-type usm af system produces quick and quiet autofocus, to allow you to keep up with subjects on the move, but remain unheard on the sidelines, which is important when photographing intimate moments.

with its rugged l-series build quality, the canon 70-200mm f2.8l is suitable for shooting in the rugged outdoor world, as well as being fitting for repeated, professional use. the lens has been designed with action shooters in mind, sealed for protection against both dust and moisture. optically superior, the 70-200mm f2.8l includes four ultra-low dispersion lens elements in its design, taking care of fringing and aberrations and producing clarity at all focal lengths, while super spectra coating minimises flare and ghosting.
