if its close-ups you want to shoot, this lens is more than happy to oblige, the canon 60mm f2.8macro lens. compatible with aps-c format canon eos dslrs, the equivalent focal length is short telephoto 96mm, which gets you a nice tight crop on your subject, without you having to get right up close – this is ideal when shooting a living model. with a 1:1magnification and a closest focus distance of just 20cm, it is no doubt that this lens has been primarily built for detailing and giving a voice to the minuscule, often unheard of worlds, but the long focal length and f2.8maximum aperture also find this lens suitable for portraiture. you really wont be able to get enough of this versatile, user-friendly prime lens.

great for accurately focussing on living subjects, and subjects that wont sit still for too long, the canon 60mm f2.8macro lens includes an ultrasonic motor, which provides autofocus in a timely and near-silent manner. focusing is done internally with this lens, which as well as delivering speedier performance, also allows the lens to remain as compact as possible when it is in use. the f2.8aperture is excellent at producing images with a decent amount of background blur, while the rounded 7-blade aperture diaphragm ensures that this blur is of a beautiful and natural appearance.
