the canon powershot g7x mk ii is a great choice if you are graduating from a smartphone to a dedicated camera, and want something to improve your image quality but not take up too much space. while the g7x ii fits snugly in pockets, it includes a larger than average 1inch cmos sensor, with which it can capture full hd video results and 20mp still images. a versatile zoom lens is upfront, covering a 24-100mm range, as well as featuring a bright f1.8-2.8maximum aperture, which allows for great depth of field control.

unlike a standard digital camera, the canon powershot g7x mk ii performs brilliantly in all lighting conditions, throughout the iso range of 125-25600. a built-in optical stabilisation system keeps handheld results smooth and blur-free, while the tilting lcd screen makes it easy to hold the camera in a position that is comfortable, and also the best angle for the shot. as well as raw image capture, the powershot g7x ii will appeal to adventurous shooters, thanks to its range of picture style profiles.
