featuring what could be considered the classic, standard zoom range, the nikon 24-70mm f2.8vr is a modern take on one of the most versatile lenses you can have in your kit. the wide-angle to short-telephoto zoom range of this is suitable for landscapes, snapshots, portraits, and everything in between, while the constant f2.8aperture allows you to experiment with depth of field at all focal lengths, and do most of your shooting without any additional support. this handheld shoot-ability is extended by the inclusion of a vr stabiliser, putting a stop to camera shake by up to 4stops. for the modern dslr user who swaps between still and video shooting with relative frequency, an swm af system provides autofocus that is suitably fast and quiet.
- fx compatible
- constant f2.8aperture

- silent wave motor – fast & quiet af
no kit is complete without this lens in it, the nikon 24-70mm f2.8vr. appropriately referred to as a standard zoom lens, the 24-70mm is suitable for a number of tasks, allowing you to leave home with just one lens, still confident of a fulfilling day of shooting. from landscapes to portraits, this lens has enough zoom range to do it all, and thanks to a premium optical construction, it does it all just as well as a full kit of specialist lenses would. throughout the zoom range this lens contains a fast f2.8aperture, so you have the same level of depth of field control and handheld performance, no matter what focal length you are using.
with vr stabilisation, you can use this lens in available-light conditions, without additional support from a tripod, with your images still being sharp and blur-free. fast and quiet autofocus is provided by the silent wave motor, while the special electromagnetic aperture mechanism provides you with the ability to utilise your camera’s speedy continuous shooting rate, with consistent exposure performance.
