the nikon z mirrorless system now has a very useful standard prime lens, in the form of this nikon z 50mm f1.8s lens. this lens allows users of this premium mirrorless system to utilise the always-popular 50mm focal length – it is good for portraits, street photography and even day to day snapshots. this lens features a fast f1.8maximum aperture, which makes it simple to produce vast, stunning bokeh. the fast maximum aperture of this nikon prime lens is also excellent for low light shooting – keep in mind that many z bodies have built-in vr stabilisation, so blur-free low-light shooting is easy to achieve with this combination.

the nikon z 50mm f1.8s lens features a versatile stepping af motor, which will suit users using their nikon mirrorless camera for various purposes. it is both fast and quiet in performance. a range of high-end optical elements have been used in the construction of this nikon lens, including extra-low dispersion and aspherical elements, which results in fringing, aberrations and distortions being limited successfully. nano crystal and super integrated coatings have also been applied, so flare and ghosting are similarly well-handled by this lens. what this means is that the nikon z 50mm f1.8s lens is capable of clear, detailed and sharp images in a host of situations – its rugged dust and moisture-resistant build mean this can even be experienced out in the elements.
