if you only want to pack one lens for your micro four thirds camera, you are hard pressed to find a more versatile and reliable performer than the olympus 12-40mm f2.8 pro lens. with its 24-80mm equivalent zoom range, this lens is just as suited to shooting wide, scoping landscapes as it is at snapping tightly-framed portraits. typical of an olympus m.zuiko lens, it performs these tasks in style. the premium optical construction, which includes a mix of olympus highest quality elements assure this consistency of quality, as well as keeping the lens as streamline and compact as possible. a unique programmable l-fn button is available on the lens barrel for you to recall and change a selected setting, without taking your eye away from your subject.

as the name suggest the msc af motor provides quick and quiet autofocus, allowing you to utilise the full potential of your cameras burst shooting rate and high-resolution video. throughout the lenses range, you are gifted with a bright f2.8aperture, suitable for exploring shallow depths of field, as well as keeping you shooting in low-light conditions without your pictures becoming blurry. many of olympus new mirrorless bodies are rugged and ready for outdoor adventures, and thankfully the 12-40mm f2.8lens is just as tough. the lens is dust, freeze and moisture-resistant so you can take this lens traveling to harsher climates without missing out on photographing any of the local sights.
