snap up the fastest moving subjects, with this sports-orientated zoom lens from sigma, the 120-300mm f2.8. throughout the long telephoto zoom range, this lens benefits from a constant f2.8maximum aperture, which produces shallow depths of field, as well as permits shooting at faster shutter speeds. these faster shutter speeds obviously help your handheld shooting performance, a feature which is further enhanced by the inclusion of optical stabilisation in this lens. the os is good for up to 4stops of shake reduction, and it includes 2modes for you to best suit your current shooting scenario, one for general purpose and one for panning.
a hsm motor produces fast, stealth-like autofocus, which is also smooth enough to keep up with video purposes. rotating the focus ring at any time allows for focus to be controlled manually, which is ideal for the more serious shooter who prefers the accuracy of the hands-on approach. sturdy enough to withstand the rigours of a professional workload, the sigma 120-300mm f2.8lens is dust and splash-proof to permit extended use in the great outdoors. being compatible with sigmas usb dock, this lens can easily be updated to the latest firmware when available, as well as permitting finetuning to af speeds and os settings.
