with this, the sony mirrorless heritage has a more professionally aimed range – the a7. the a7 is notable for the pure fact that it crams a 24.2mp full-frame sensor into a mirrorless body; a body that although rugged and made from magnesium weighs just over 400grams. simply put, this is the best option for capturing world-class, top-tier images, in a compact body that is perfect for travel. great for the fast-paced modern world, the a7 can fire shots at up to 5 frames per second, and it uses a fast hybrid af system to make the most of this fast rate. also benefiting from the zippy af speed is the full hd video format.

for the enthusiast coming from the dslr world, or looking to take a step up from the compact camera world, the sony a7 is perfect for hands-on creative shooting, with various dials across the body, allowing for the adjustment of key exposure settings. the 3inch lcd screen at the rear of the camera is of the tilting variety, so you can adjust it for your comfort, and explore more intrinsic angles than you have ever considered before. if you wish to take a more traditional eye-level approach to your composition, the a7 obliges, with a large and bright oled evf taking residence on its compact body.
