a7r v the high-resolution standard

the sony alpha 7r v redefines what’s possible from a high-resolution camera by integrating a dedicated ai processing unit alongside the bionz xr engine. this combination powers sony’s most advanced autofocus system to date, with human pose estimation, subject recognition across humans, animals, birds, insects, cars, and planes, and 60af calculations per second all while managing the enormous data throughput of a 61mp sensor. the result is a camera that doesn’t ask you to trade speed or reliability for resolution.

ibis & ai autofocus

the a7r v features a 5axis in-body image stabilisation (ibis) system delivering up to 8stops of compensation the highest in sony’s lineup making it possible to shoot handheld at shutter speeds that would previously have required a tripod. the ai-driven autofocus system continuously analyses the scene, locking onto subjects with precision and maintaining focus through complex, fast-moving situations. whether you’re shooting wildlife, weddings, or architecture, the a7r v keeps up.

a videography powerhouse

despite its resolution-first positioning, the a7r v is a capable video camera. it records 4k footage oversampled from 9.6k capture for extraordinary detail and minimal moir, with full support for 10-bit colour, s-log3, and s-cinetone profiles. the 4axis multi-angle lcd the same system found on the alpha 7v allows flexible framing in virtually any shooting position, while the high-magnification oled viewfinder delivers a clear, accurate preview in any light.
