this tamron teleconverter provides a 1.4x increase in magnification of selected lenses, which comes in very handy for sports and wildlife users, in particular. crucially, the key functions of your lens, such as af and vc will function as normal, while a 1stop loss of light is the payoff for the extended focal length. while the tamron 1.4x teleconverter is rugged in design, with dust and moisture resistance, it is also portable and lightweight, keeping your telephoto photography kit as lightweight as possible.

the tamron 1.4x teleconverter does a good job at retaining the optical integrity of your attached lens, while thanks to the application of tamron’s broad band anti-reflective coating, ghosting and flare are well maintained.
